Future Disruptors’ Lunch

This isn’t your traditional networking event. No awkward networking. Just kai, conversation and connection.

Future Disrupters’ Lunch brings Māori and Pasifika young people together with Māori and Pasifika founders and tech leaders for small-group conversations over lunch.

And the free lunch isn’t even the best part. The goal is for you to leave with more than inspiration - with a real connection and a practical next step or opportunity.

How it works:

1. Tell us what you’re curious about.
   AI, gaming, apps, startups, design, digital content, engineering, robotics or another part of the tech world - tell us what interests you and we’ll match you with someone relevant.
2. Pull up a chair and pick their brain.
   Over lunch, you’ll join a guided small-group conversation. Ask how they got started, what their work is really like, what they wish they knew earlier and the questions you actually want answered.
3. Leave with a door open.
   This is the important part. The founders and tech leaders around the table aren’t just there to share advice. Each conversation is designed to lead to something practical - an introduction, workplace visit, industry event, programme, follow-up conversation, shadowing opportunity or another useful next step.

You don’t need technical experience, a startup idea or your career figured out. Curiosity is enough.

Future Disrupters’ Lunch is free and designed for Māori and Pasifika young people aged 17-24. Places are limited so we can keep conversations small and matches meaningful.
